Change in accounting policies 2.2.1 Comparative information The financial statements of the Group have been prepared comparatively with the prior period in order to evaluate financial position and performance trends. Comparative figures are reclassified, where necessary, to conform to the changes in the presentation of the current period consolidated financial statements. The Group presented the consolidated statement of financial position as of 31 December 2021 comparatively with the consolidated statement of financial position as of 31 December 2020, presented the consolidated statement of profit or loss, consolidated statement of other comprehensive income, consolidated statement of cash flows and consolidated statement of changes in equity for the interim period ended on 31 December 2021 comparatively with the consolidated profit or loss, consolidated statement of cash flows, consolidated statement of changes in equity and consolidated statement of other comprehensive income for the interim period ended 31 December 2020. 2.3 Changes in significant accounting policies 2.3.1 Changes in significant accounting policies Significant changes in accounting policies are applied retrospectively and prior period financial statements are restated. The Group has made some changes in its accounting policies in the current year due to the effects of changes in the standards. There has not been any significant change in the accounting policies of the Group in the current year. If the changes in accounting estimates are for only one period, they are applied prospectively in the current period when the change is made. If the changes in accounting estimates are related to future periods, they are applied prospectively both in the period when the change was made and in the future periods. There has not been any significant change in the accounting estimates of the Group in the current year. Restatement of financial statements during periods of high inflation In accordance with the CMB’s decision dated 17 March 2005 and numbered 11/367, for companies operating in Turkey and preparing financial statements in accordance with Turkish Accounting Standards, the application of inflation accounting has been terminated as of 1 January 2005. Accordingly, as of 1 January 2005, the standard No. 29 “Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies” (“TAS 29”) has not been applied. As per the announcement published by the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority (“POA”) on 20 January 2022, since the cumulative change in the general purchasing power of the last three years has been 74.41% according to the Consumer Price Index (“CPI”) rates, it has been stated that entities applying the Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (“TFRS”) are not required to make any restatements in their financial statements for 2021 within the scope of TAS 29 “Financial Reporting in High Inflation Economies”. In the accompanying consolidated financial statements, no inflation adjustment has been made in accordance with TAS 29.
